The enrollment process in detail
After you have accepted your place, please follow these steps:
- Upload any missing data by clicking on the "upload data" button.
- Upload your passport photo and other required documents.
- Your "enrollment application" is complete when you have entered the relevant data and submitted all the information required. Your enrollment application will be recorded as "received" in your C@MPUS account no later than one day after you have sent the data or, your application has already been approved. There is no paper enrollment application.
- Please transfer the fees due.
- Applicants who wish to enroll as doctoral researchers can find more information on the page Enrollment for Doctoral Researchers.
You can enroll from August (for the winter semester) or from February (for the summer semester). The deadline for enrollment is the date specified in the letter of admission. The following applies:
- The online enrollment application must be received by the university by the deadline specified in the letter of admission. The electronic submission date applies, i.e. the date on which you clicked on "send" in the residual data entry (see the button "add data").
- If the application for enrollment is not received within the specified period, the letter of admission becomes invalid. Your place will then be awarded to a lower-ranked applicant. If you cannot meet the deadline for an important reason, please inform the Application, Admission, Enrollment Department so that a deadline extension can be granted in justified, exceptional circumstances. It is not possible to extend the deadline beyond the start of the lecture period.
- For Master's study programs, the enrollment deadlines are also as stated in the letter of admission. In most cases, this is May 15 for the summer semester and November 15 for the winter semester.

Frequently asked questions
The enrollment deadline is included in your letter of admission which you can find in your personal account in C@MPUS.
You will be enrolled as soon as your data is complete and you have uploaded the missing documents in C@MPUS by the deadline (and thus submitted your "enrollment application"), and when we have received the health insurance notification and the fees have been paid. The processing time is approximately 14 days. Due to the high number of applications, it may take longer in individual cases. We ask for your patience.
Some Bachelor of Science study programs call for pre-study internships. Detailed information on how to prove it is published in the application guideline.
The enrollment process usually takes place online. In individual cases, the University may require that the documents be submitted in their original form, or as a certified copy.
Every public sector entity that has an official seal, such as public authorities, is allowed to produce an authorized certification. Certifications from lawyers, associations, banks, health insurance fund, or similar institutions will not be accepted.
An official certification has to include:
1) A certification code which attests that the copy matches the original document.
2) The signature of the attestor
3) An imprint of the official seal (Official seals usually contain an emblem, a simple writing seal wil not be accepted.)
Additional rules:
- If the copy consists of several single sheets, it needs to be attested that all sheets belong to the same document. It is sufficient to sign and place the certification code on only one sheet if all sheets are put on top of each other, stapled, and sealed in a way that every sheet contains a part of the official seal.
- Every single sheet may also be authorized individually. In that case please pay attention that every sheet of the original document contains your name. If not, your name has to be included in the certification code together with an indication of the type of document.
- If the front and back of a sheet contain a copy with relevant content, the certification code has to refer to both front and back. If not, front and back of the sheet have to be authorized individually.
- If the original document contains a seal minted in paper this is usually not visible in the copy. In that case the certification code needs to be expanded and refer to the minted seal in the original document.
