As a university program, this Bachelor’s study program in Automotive and Engine Engineering is unique in Germany. Besides its broad subject array, it offers a first focus on the motor vehicle in all its variants and technical subareas. Students receive a theory-based, diversified natural science and engineering science fundamental education.
The basic curriculum consists of courses in mathematics, mechanics, physics, engineering design, thermodynamics, computing, electrical engineering, materials science, acoustical engineering and vibration engineering. In the subsequent specialization studies, two competence domains are chosen from the motor vehicle, motor vehicle mechatronics and combustion engine areas as well as one from general mechanical engineering.
