The B.Sc. in Movement Science is designed to teach biological, biomechanical, kinesiological, and simulation technology knowledge of the human musculoskeletal system and their application to technological systems. A kinesiology education, above all, implies the subjects of biomechanics, training science, modelling and simulation, sports medicine, motivity, and psychology. The curriculum aims to describe the mechanics of human motion primarily from a natural sciences standpoint. The aim is to model the principles so they can be applied in diverse fields (e.g., orthopedics, sports equipment engineering). In addition, the program teaches the physiological mechanisms for adapting to repetitive movements (e.g. stress).
- A basic interest in looking at human movement from the scientific perspective
- Interest in gaining empirically-grounded knowledge of kinesiology and sports
- Interest in building mathematical models for describing motion
- Interest in project-oriented working methods for solving kinesiological problems
