The Master’s in Chemistry degree program is a component of the consecutive Chemistry teaching degree study program. It builds on the six-semester Bachelor’s Chemistry teaching degree program from the University of Stuttgart or an equivalent Bachelor’s program from another university. In addition to a continuing their education in inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry, subject-specific pedagogical subject content prepares prospective teachers for how to approach the subject of chemistry in school.
You should enjoy chemistry and be curious about nature’s secrets. You should also have an interest in natural science and mathematical subjects. Chemistry studies for teachers call for perseverance, self-motivation, ability to work in a team and, especially, self-reliance when it comes to organizing your learning experience.
