Mathematics is an essential tool of science. It teaches structured, logical thinking. Mathematics makes it possible to formulate abstract and practical problems, to simplify and solve them. Its importance grows with society‘s increasing technization – all modern technologies would be impossible without mathematical achievements.
The Master’s program (Teaching Degree) deepens the knowledge of mathematics acquired in the Bachelor’s program. Subject-specific and education science courses as well as a school internship prepare students for workaday school life.
The prerequisite is a successfully completed Bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Additional requirements are identical to those for the Bachelor’s program: you must like math, enjoy thinking, be into exactness, have a faculty for abstraction, possess drive for getting to the bottom of things, be industrious, ready to work, have self-discipline and be able to handle frustration.
