The very practically-oriented Master’s study program “Public Planning and Participation” imparts concepts and methods allow properly involving the public in planning and decision processes. This study program is the first in Germany to prepare students for these professional fields in municipal administration, business, science and politics.
From the start, theoretical knowledge is linked to practical course offerings, such as through independent planning projects or training in the basics of mediation and facilitation. The study program also conveys insights into the current legal situation, planning processes, and legally permitted forms of advocacy.
You should have an interest in acquiring subject knowledge from the planning, social, natural, and engineering sciences and the law, so that you can mediate between actors in various departments.
