Physics teaches about natural processes and it is one of the exact natural sciences. Natural processes are captured experimentally by quantitative measurement and are represented mathematically in the form of general laws. Physics teachers impart physics knowledge and competences to pupils and awaken interest in the natural sciences in them. For teachers to perform these vital functions, they must master the basic laws of physics and possess an overview of the foundations of physics.
Studying for a Master’s of Education degree must follow the Bachelor’s degree to complete an education as high school teacher.
Prospective students should have solid, upper level knowledge in physics and mathematics and generally have a strong interest in natural processes. They should be filled with curiosity about what connects the neighboring disciplines of mathematics, chemistry and biology so they can comprehend physics as a fascinating natural science and teach it as such.
They should also enjoy experimenting and not have any computer phobias.
