The 3-story building houses the lecture hall center of lecture halls 47 and the institutes of Faculty 5: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
Detail information on building areas
The nearest public transport stop is the S-Bahn stop "Universität"(lines S1, S2, S3). Only the exit "Universitätszentrum" has an elevator and is accessible. The main entrances on the ground floor of the building are accessible and automated. However, the vestibules limit the maneuverability of a wheelchair. Another accessible, automated entrance is located on the basement floor. That way, the steep outdoor footpath between Frischemarkt Roth and the S-Bahn can be overcome inside the building. The door to the elevator vestibule is automated. There are steps in the foyer which are bridged by ramps that are too steep and not secure. Therefore, accessibility to the lecture halls is limited.
The upper main entrance is on the southeast side of the building (glass doors). The lower main entrance is on the southwest side of the building (glass doors).
The entrance doors are not sufficiently contrasted, and the glass doors to the hallways and stairwells are insufficiently marked. The foyer has steps, handrails are missing, there are unmarked obstacles at the top of the stairs between the basement and the ground floor. At the stairs, step markings exist for the most part and are visible, the handrails are not completely barrier-free. The hallways are well contrasted, but inadequately lit. Most room doors are clearly visible.
Accessible parking spaces of the university are located at the back of buildings 7 and 9 Pfaffenwaldring. Two public parking spaces are located outside the gate on the access road to no. 5, 7 and 9 Pfaffenwaldring.
The elevators operate only between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays and are completely out of service from Friday 8 p.m. to Monday 6 a.m.. The doors to the elevator vestibule are automated.
Some of the doors in the hallways and to the lecture halls can only be opened with great effort.
There is an accessible restroom on the basement floor of the lecture hall center (freely accessible). Another accessible restroom is located in area 3 of the ETI I, on the 2nd floor (freely accessible).
