Detail information on building areas

The nearest public transport stop is the S-Bahn stop "Universität"(lines S1, S2, S3). Only the exit "Universitätszentrum" has an elevator and is accessible. The bus stops "Universität" (lines 82, 84, 91, 92, 746. 747. 748, N1) and "Universität" (loop / lines 82, 84. 746. X60), have a barrier-free access path. The main entrance is not accessible. Wheelchair users can access the building via the left side entrance (passageway between no. 9 and 47 Pfaffenwaldring). The ramp is wheelchair-accessible, but the door opener is located on the ramp and looks like a light switch. Other entrances are the right side entrance and the Cafeteria Contrast (during opening hours; the cafeteria door can be opened manually and has no threshold).

The main entrance is on the south side of the building (glass doors), between the lecture hall and the wing, and can be reached via steps (no markings and no handrail). Another entrance with automatic door is located on the west side at the driveway (steps and ramp). For the blind and visually impaired, we recommend to include the building in their mobility training, as it is very labyrinthine and angled and the entrances are difficult to find.

Entrance and access doors are not sufficiently contrasted. Insufficient illumination of the hallways in the interior makes orientation difficult and complicates contrast perception. For the blind and visually impaired, we recommend to include the building in their mobility training, as it is very labyrinthine and angled and the entrances are difficult to find.

There are accessible university parking spaces at the back of the building. Two public parking spaces are located outside the gate, coming from Pfaffenwaldring, on the access road to no. 5, 7 and 9 Pfaffenwaldring.

The two elevators in the middle of the hallway have been wheelchair-accessible since April 2019. The elevator lobby has sufficient turning space and there are automatic access doors.

The door of the side entrance on the left side of the building is automated. Many of the doors in the hallways have automatic doors.

There is a wheelchair accessible restroom on the ground floor, opposite lecture hall V 9.02 (euro key), and one on the 3rd floor (freely accessible).
