Engineering Center (IWZ II)

The nearest public transport stop is the S-Bahn stop "Universität"(lines S1, S2, S3). Only the exit "Universitätszentrum" has an elevator and is accessible. The bus stops "Universität" (lines 82, 84, 91, 92, 746. 747. 748, N1) and "Universität" (loop / lines 82, 84. 746. X60), have a barrier-free access path.

Since June 2019, both entrances to no. 7 Pfaffenwaldring have an automatic door with pushbutton: The main entrance on the east side of the building (upper ground floor) and the side entrance on the south side of the building (lower ground floor, level of Café Contrast and the accessible restroom).

The upper main entrance is on the east side of the building (glass doors). The side entrance (lower ground floor, level of the Cafeteria Contrast and the accessible restroom) is on the south side of the building (glass doors). There is another access, inside the building, via the west side through the adjacent IWZ (9 Pfaffenwaldring). For the blind and visually impaired, we recommend to include the building in their mobility training, as it is very labyrinthine and angled and the entrances are difficult to find.

The eastern upper entrance contrasts well with the rest of the building due to the vestibule made of bright sheet metal. Otherwise, the entrances are not sufficiently contrasted. Insufficient illumination of the hallways in the interior makes orientation difficult and complicates contrast perception. For the blind and visually impaired, we recommend to include the building in their mobility training, as it is very labyrinthine and angled and the entrances are difficult to find.

There are accessible university parking spaces at the back of the building. Two public parking spaces are located outside the gate on the access road to no. 5, 7 and 9 Pfaffenwaldring.

The elevator has limited accessibility.

There is an accessible restroom on the lower ground floor (Eurokey locking system).
