This positions the University of Stuttgart in the top 4 percent of universities analyzed worldwide. In the "Architecture" category, the University of Stuttgart maintained its position within the top 51-100 range out of 240 listed universities (or 1,223 analyzed) in the international comparison, consistent with its ranking in 2023.
In the latest rankings, the University of Stuttgart also demonstrates strong performance in the subject area of "Engineering & Technology," which is one of the five areas assessed. It is ranked 175th (2023: 167th) out of a total of 550 universities included in the ranking. Out of a total of 2,156 universities analyzed by QS in the field of "Engineering & Technology," this achievement corresponds to a position within the top 8 percent worldwide.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject are published annually and are aimed in particular at prospective students. The ranking is determined by factors including academic reputation, citation frequency of research publications, international research collaborations, and feedback from major global surveys of employers. The indicators are weighted differently depending on the subject culture. The fourteenth QS World University Rankings by Subject include five subject groups covering a total of 55 disciplines.
