Call for Applications has been extended: Proposals for a pitch can still be submitted until May 15.
One stage, three minutes, a jury of experts, your idea and the chance to compete at the international Falling Walls Science Summit: the Falling Walls Lab Baden-Württemberg is coming to Stuttgart in 2024. We cordially invite all researchers from Baden-Württemberg to apply for this year's Lab with their innovative ideas and projects!
Every year on November 9, the Falling Walls Science Summit takes place in Berlin - an international forum that brings together world leaders from science, business, culture and politics to provide a platform for possible solutions to global challenges. A highlight of the three-day summit is the search for the "Science Breakthrough of the Year", for which top scientists from all over the world are invited to present their innovations, ideas, research results or business models to a top-class jury from science and business. Participating in the Science Summit's Lab means taking part in an international pitch competition, a networking forum and a springboard to exchange ideas with researchers and young professionals from all disciplines and nations.
San Francisco, Kapstadt und Stuttgart: International Lab Locations 2024
As a qualifying round of the international Science Summit in Berlin, the so-called Falling Walls Labs are taking place worldwide - in addition to San Francisco, Cape Town, Myanmar, Dakar, Tel Aviv and many more, we are also putting Stuttgart on the map this year. On July 10, the Falling Walls Lab Baden-Württemberg 2024 will open its doors in the ARENA2036 at Campus Vaihingen.
Participants will have three minutes to present their idea to a jury of experts, who will then decide on the winner and enable them to take part in the Falling Walls Science Summit.
The Call for Applications is open from now on and can be submitted until May 15, 2024 on the official Falling Walls Lab website. After a short application, the Lab Committee will decide on the participants and offer training courses in the run-up to the Lab to practice and professionalize the presentation in a short period of time. We explicitly welcome academics and Master's students from higher semesters to apply, including humanities and social sciences as well as STEM subjects in basic and applied research.
We also welcome all interested parties from science and industry in Baden-Württemberg and beyond, and cordially invite you to take part in the event. Registration is now open via Eveeno.
