The GRADUS Lounge, a networking event organized by the Graduate Academy of the University of Stuttgart, was held this year in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung. The event on July 13, 2023, at the International Meeting Center "Eulenhof" in Stuttgart was dedicated to the topic "Knowledge transfer - from research to practical application".
The event focused on the scholarship holders of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung's elite program for postdoctoral researchers, who were present as guests of honor. The elite program supports excellent scientists from Baden-Württemberg universities on their way to securing a professorship.
The enthusiastic interaction and networking between GRADUS mentees and mentors, and current fellows, alumnae and alumni of this renowned funding program proved to be an inspiring.
The GRADUS Lounge once again provided an ideal platform for discussions, reflection, and interdisciplinary exchange. Participants had the opportunity to expand their knowledge, make new contacts and gain valuable insights into the current challenges and opportunities in the field of knowledge transfer.
Professor Hans-Hennig von Grünberg, holder of the Professorship for Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the University of Potsdam, and winner of the University Manager of the Year Award (2017), was invited as a special guest speaker.
