Simulierte Welten
The (HLRS) has set itself the goal of supporting particularly talented students. In this context, the HLRS announces a scholarship of up to 1,000 euros for the school year 2024/25, which is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts BW. In these scholarships, students work actively in scientific projects of the HLRS staff and are supervised by them (net workload: approx. three to four weeks over the entire school year). Topics span the fields of computer science and natural sciences.
What? A scholarship, endowed with up to 1,000 euros, at the High Performance Computing Center of the University of Stuttgart. The 1,000 euros are used for the purchase of a suitable laptop or to pay for travel expenses.
Who? Pupils interested in natural sciences / computer science in the 11th grade at Gymnasium in Stuttgart and the surrounding area.
When? The scholarship starts in November 2024 with a kick-off event and and ends in spring of 2025 with a public presentation of the results and the presentation of the certificates. The fellows are supervised partly on site and partly via videoconferencing. Detailed information will be provided to the fellows and scholarship holders with the confirmation of the scholarship. Regular meetings with the staff will take place approximately once a month. In addition, a meeting with all scholarship holders will be held in January 2025.
