Dear members of the University of Stuttgart,
The name International Women's Day already places a special focus on the female gender. International Women's Day is an opportunity to reflect on gender justice and equality for people with different identities and lifestyles.
As a university, we have achieved a lot in recent years. We are especially proud to have received the Stifterverband certificate for the “Shaping Diversity” diversity audit as of February 5, 2025. The further development of the diversity strategy was a collaborative and participatory effort. The certification also highlights the University of Stuttgart's extensive efforts to promote gender equality and foster an inclusive university culture.
However, reflecting on past successes should not distract us from the opportunities for future progress. The University of Stuttgart is therefore aligning itself with the international motto of this year's International Women's Day: #AccelerateAction! As a university community, we can actively promote gender equality—achieving this goal is only possible through collective effort.
