The start-up advisor is a vital point of contact
"The aim of the 'Stuttgart Way' is to connect different disciplines regardless of organizational differences, and the boundaries existing between disciplines. This is also a key element of entrepreneurship. "As start-up advisor at the University of Stuttgart, I see my role as providing a vital point of contact for interdisciplinary entrepreneurship initiatives and measures", says Brem. In addition to representing the university internally in this area, he is also responsible for communicating the subject of entrepreneurship externally, at both the national and international level. Furthermore, Brem also aims to implement insights from research and teaching on the topic of entrepreneurship and innovation to a much greater extent.
In this role, Brem will work particularly closely with the office of the Vice Rector for Knowledge and Technology Transfer, as well as with the start-up advisors from the ten faculties at the University of Stuttgart. The various faculty start-up advisors will act as start-up ambassadors, promoting start-up culture within their faculty. They are responsible for sensitizing colleagues, employees and students to the topic of entrepreneurship and making them aware of the support available for anyone interested in the field of entrepreneurship. The aim is to promote and strengthen start-up activities and the transfer of research results from the university to wider society via start-ups.
