About the QS World University Ranking Europe

The QS World University Ranking Europe particularly focuses on exchange and internationalization. Unlike the QS World University Ranking, the European ranking takes into account four additional indicators: "International Student Diversity" (5 percent), "Inbound Exchange Students" (2.5 percent), "Outbound Exchange Students" (2.5 percent), and "Papers per Faculty" (5 percent). While the indicators "Citations per Faculty" (10 percent) and the "Faculty Student Ratio" (5 percent) are weighted lower in the European ranking, the results of the "International Research Network" (10 percent) are weighted more heavily in the evaluation. The emphasis placed on the indicators "Academic Reputation" (30 percent), "Employment Reputation" (15 percent), "Employment Outcomes" (5 percent), "Sustainability" (5 percent) and "International Faculty" (5 percent) correspond to their importance in the QS World University Ranking.

In the second issue, 685 European universities from 42 countries (including 53 German universities) were listed.
