The University of Stuttgart's Rennteam unveils new vehicle

The racing team Rennteam at the University of Stuttgart will be presenting its new vehicle for the Formula Student season 2024/25 on May 17, 2024. With the merger of the Rennteam and GreenTeam, the team starts the season with new faces and a new line-up. The students have decided to focus on the development of electric racing cars in the future.

"Start the Fusion" is the motto of Rennteam e.V. Uni Stuttgart for this year's Formula Student season. With the merger of the Rennteam and the GreenTeam the students will be competing on the racetracks of Europe with one electric racing car in the future. The goals for the current season have been set: "We want to win two events.  This is possible with the conditions we have here in Stuttgart," says Technical Director Joachim Hecker. "There will also be more happening in vehicle development this year."

Racing enthusiasts can experience this for themselves on May 17, 2024, on Campus Vaihingen. Rennteam invites you to the rollout of its new vehicle for the 2024/25 season, unveiling technical specifications and innovations and presenting its new line-up. Joined by its guests, the 40-strong team will reflect on seven months of development, spanning from the initial design phase through to the final stages of production. The coming weeks and months will be spent testing the vehicle down to the smallest detail and fine-tuning it to ensure high reliability and a top-quality driving experience. 

On Friday, May 17, 2024, the university’s Rennteam invites motorsport enthusiasts and media representatives to the rollout in the Audimax / Campus Vaihingen at Pfaffenwaldring 53.

• Entrance from 5.30 p.m.
• The official program begins at 7 p.m.
• and ends at around 10 p.m.

After the official presentation, you'll have the chance to explore the world of Formula Student and motorsport further through personal discussions with our team members.

You can register for the event on the Rennteam website until May 15, 2024. Early registration is recommended due to the limited number of places.

Rennteam Uni Stuttgart e.V. stands for excellence and innovation in motorsport. Students from various disciplines are involved in the construction of the new vehicle for the current season, as well as technical development in management, event organization, recruiting and public relations. Following the fusion of the two teams and with the development of the new electric racing car, the team is a pioneering force in Formula Student.
