Prof. Jörg Wrachtrup from the Department of Physics and Prof. Michael Saliba from the Department of Electrical Engineering have been named "Highly Cited Researchers 2022" by Clarivate Analytics, placing them among the top 1% of the world's most influential researchers in the fields of physics and environment and ecology. Clarivate Analytics examines the citations by peers, which is considered an important indicator for the scientific impact of a paper and therefore of the influence of the authors in their respective fields.
Quantum researcher Jörg Wrachtrup is receiving this award for the sixth time in a row, and for optoelectronics scientist Michael Saliba, who conducts research in the field of high-efficiency perovskite solar cells, it is the fifth time in a row. Wrachtrup receives the award in the field of physics, Saliba in the field of environment and ecology.
