The careers of the new professors exemplify the 'Stuttgart Way,' showcasing the unique interdisciplinarity of the University of Stuttgart. Interdisciplinary research has been a central aspect of their careers and was a key factor for many in choosing to join the University of Stuttgart.
The evening at the University of Stuttgart's International Meeting Center "Eulenhof" provided an excellent opportunity for the new professors to engage in meaningful exchanges with university leadership and their new colleagues. It laid the foundation for further interdisciplinary collaboration and future cooperation in research and teaching.

Welcome Event Series
The annual Welcome Dinner kicks off a series of welcome events for new recruits and is followed by two further events, the Lunch Meeting and the Sundowner. Since 2015, the series has fostered a welcoming and appreciative culture, complementing the support programs for new professors and employees. At the follow-up events, the circle of newly appointed members is broadened to include additional guests from the Rectorate and other professors. Interdisciplinary networking and discussions on current university topics contribute to shaping the university's future while fostering a shared sense of identity.
